Adult Social Care - Cath Whalley
Cath has spent her career in adult social care, starting as a residential care home support worker, before qualifying as a social worker in Lancashire and moving through progressively more senior roles to her current position as director of adult social care for Westmorland and Furness Council.
Cath was at the forefront of rolling out Self Directed Support and strength-based practice and has a wealth of experience working across the health and social care sector in communities and in hospitals. She is passionate about people and improving experiences for those accessing services, drawing up on her own personal lived experience as well as 34 years working in the sector.
