Emma Woollett - Chair

Emma has been chair of the ICB since September 2024, during a period of immense change for the organisation.  Prior to this, Emma was chair of Swansea University Health Board and chair of West Glamorgan Regional Partnership Board.
 
Following degrees in physics and international relations from Cambridge University,  Emma’s executive experience spans the oil industry, the retail sector and as a management consultant working for regulators and utilities in the UK and worldwide.  She has worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years, both as an independent management consultant providing strategic support to acute NHS providers and as a non-executive director and chair.  Prior to her role at Swansea Bay, Emma was vice chair at the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.  She is also a member of the board of trustees at the NHS Alliance.
 
Emma has depth and breadth of board experience across large, complex organisations in different sectors and a particular interest in encouraging the exchange of ideas between different organisations to find innovative solutions.
