Medical director (interim) - Dr Andy Knox

Dr Andy Knox is a GP in Carnforth and was appoited to the role of interim medical director for Lancashire and South Cumbria in April 2025 on a six-month basis whilst the process to secure a permanent medical director takes place. 

He is passionate about working with communities to tackle health inequalities and improve overall health and wellbeing. He is also focused on creating a culture of joy, kindness and excellence within the health and care system to support the health and wellbeing of teams.
