Digital and Data Strategy 2024-2029
Welcome to the Digital and Data Strategy for Lancashire and South Cumbria, a comprehensive framework that updates and builds upon Our Digital Future (2018) and the Digital Transformation and Investment Plan 2022–2027.
This strategy is a key document for the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and its partner organisations. It outlines the strategic digital and data priorities for the ICB and the Provider Collaborative (OneLSC) to drive transformation across our health ecosystem.
Why this strategy matters
- Enabling Transformation: It supports innovation and progress in primary, secondary, tertiary, and regulated care.
- Fostering Collaboration: Enhances partnerships with academia, the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, and other stakeholders.
- Promoting Prevention: Facilitates a shift towards prevention, self-care, and earlier patient management.
- Aligning with Strategic Goals: Supports the ICP Strategic Priorities and the ICB Strategic Objectives by aligning each digital and data priority to system goals
National alignment
This strategy adheres to the NHS What Good Looks Like framework, focusing on the Well Led pillar and supporting other critical pillars:
- Smart Foundations
- Safe Practice
- Support for People
- Empowered Citizens
- Improved Care
- Healthy Populations
By implementing this strategy, we aim to enable transformational planning at all levels—place, organisation, PCN, and directorate—while advancing the Recovery & Transformation agenda.
