Proposal to relocate Dr Bello's and King Street Medical Centre GP practices in Accrington
The lease on the current buildings of Dr Bello's Surgery and King Street Medical Centre in Accrington are due to expire and the most sensible option at this point is to relocate the services into new premises. By doing this, as well as getting best value for money, services can be provided from a modern purpose-built facility. The proposal is to relocate services to Acorn Primary Health Care Centre in Blackburn Road, a short distance from the current premises.
The practices' priority is to make sure patients have continued access to high-quality GP services. All the staff will remain unchanged so patients will continue to see the same people for their appointments. The way they contact the surgery will also remain unchanged, with the telephone number for the surgery remaining the same. The only difference would be the location of the practice.
We understand patients may have concerns or comments to make about this relocation and will host drop-in sessions at the practices on:
- Dr Bello’s Surgery: Friday 8 November, from 10am to 11.30am.
- King Street Medical Centre: Monday 11 November, from 10am to 11.30am.
Patients are welcome to come into the surgery during that time to have a conversation with NHS staff who will be on hand to support them.
