Why do we have a readers group?

Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) is dedicated to making sure that our communication is clear and easy to understand. We have set up a readers group, who regularly review letters and leaflets and offer suggestions on how these can be more patient friendly. We are keen for more members to join.

How does it work?

We will send out literature, such as GP letters, leaflets and web pages via email to find out if the information is clear, easy to read and understand, how useful is the information and would the format benefit from photographs or additional text etc. We will ask you (readers group panel) to comment on these. Your feedback will then determine what the final version of the document or web page looks like.
