Have your say on the future of general practice services for patients at Dill Hall Surgery
Date posted: 17th February 2025People registered at an Accrington GP practice have been asked to give their views on how potential changes to services in the area could affect them.
Dill Hall Surgery has been successfully managed on a temporary basis by the East Lancashire Alliance since December 2023. The temporary contract for the practice in the Acorn Primary Health Care Centre in Blackburn Road will come to an end in December 2025 and planning is now under way to determine the best way forward.
NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB), which organises healthcare services for the region, must now consider the future delivery of primary medical services for those registered with the practice. It is committed to involving local patients in that decision.
Peter Tinson, director of primary and community commissioning at the ICB, said: “We are committed to ensuring we secure high-quality general practice services for people registered with Dill Hall Surgery.
“There are a number of options and we think it is really important to take the views of local people, staff and partners into consideration.
“I would therefore like to invite you to provide comments to our survey by Friday 28 February.”
A survey is available to complete at www.lancashireandsouthcumbria.icb.nhs.uk/dill-hall
Drop-in sessions where people can speak to members of the local NHS team will take place in the practice waiting area on Tuesday 25 February, from 1pm to 2pm, and on Friday 28 February, from 10am to 11am.
