Do you have experience of working within perinatal services or an interest in perinatal mental health or willingness to learn more about working within this field?

Are you looking for flexibility that involves remote working, as well as face to face?

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to expand its team with like-minded, compassionate, and enthusiastic people who are keen to make a difference to women and their families. These posts are for a 12-month period therefore there are secondment and flexible working options available for discussion.

Women and their families affected by trauma relating to pregnancy and birth often express that it helps to talk to someone who has been through a similar experience.

The role of the specially trained peer support volunteer offers one to one contact with a woman/birthing person providing the opportunity to speak to someone who has been through their own journey, offering flexible person-centred support, and providing a listening and empathetic ear. You will offer safe, effective and appropriate support to the woman/birth person using your experiential skills and knowledge.
