Since July 2022 NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) has held responsibility for planning NHS services, including primary care, community pharmacy and those previously planned by clinical commissioning groups (CCGs). As well the chair and chief executive, membership of the board includes partner members drawn from local authorities, NHS trusts / foundation trusts and primary care. Accountable to the people of Lancashire and South Cumbria and in charge of NHS money, NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB will ensure that the strategies developed by Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Partnership become a reality on the ground.
NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB joins up health and care services, improve people's health and wellbeing, and to make sure everyone has the same access to services and gets the same outcomes from treatment. We also oversee how money is spent and make sure health services work well and are of high quality.
NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB is committed to putting the needs of people living in Lancashire and South Cumbria at the heart of all we do. There is a collective ambition to do this by working with residents and communities and our partners to co-produce and improve health and wellbeing services.
