Digital support for people in our communities, supporting our primary care services
NHS England purchased digital licences from Digital Unite, a platform that contains certified training modules and resources. They also offer support to the digital health champions who are accessing their platform.
Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board is working with a number of voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to improve health outcomes using digital technology.
We have allocated licences to VCFSE organisation who represented people in our communities who are more likely to be disadvantaged in digital activation and health literacy, we are:
- Enabling digitally sustainable VCFSE organisations, reducing pressures on our health and care services
- Increasing employment opportunities for paid and unpaid people who are volunteer digital health champions
- Increasing the number of people in our communities that are digitally enabled in areas that matter to them. This may consist of health, social media, household concerns, hobbies, education, etc. to improve population health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.
- Develop case studies and videos to share with our Integrated Care System (ICS) workforce to improve knowledge of digital diversity
