Health Inequality Metrics 2023-24

In November 2023, NHS England published a Legal Statement related to the duty of ICBs to report on health inequalities under section 13SA of the National Health Service Act 2006 including that “relevant NHS bodies should publish the information on health inequalities within or alongside the organisation’s annual report”. The data that is listed within the legal statement is included below and is referenced in our annual report. The annual report also includes more information of the work that is underway to understand and address these inequalities. The ICB is working with its business Intelligence partner, Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, to increase functionality to report on inequalities metrics. This work is in progress but at this point some of the metrics listed in the legal statement are not yet available.
