Best Practice Sessions

The L&SC Population Health Academy holds monthly "Best Practice Sessions". These are short presentations about an intervention that is aiming to reduce health inequalities, with an informal Q&A following the presentation.

Our presenters come from across the L&SC footprint, and can be NHS clinical or non-clinical staff, or people from external partners like the voluntary or education sector who are working to improve the health of our population.

The aim is to share good work and build a community of support for anyone interested in health equity work.

2024 Best Practice Sessions

Upcoming sessions:

Our next session will be on Tuesday 21st January 2025. We will be hearing from Nicola Leverett, from the Burnley-based Church on the Street charity. She will be talking about how they have worked with local NHS partners to provide drop in health services to support the local vulnerable populations, including people experiencing homelessness, addiction, and contact with the probation system.
